Silver plated Moyse model flute, signed "MONOPOLE (in ornamented crescent) / COUESNON / & CIE / A PARIS / M.Moyse (cursive)" made c.1940. Length 66.7cm. Sounding length 59.4cm. This flute is basically a covered hole Boehm system with an extra key for C# and extensions to several keys to place the fingers in different positions to the normal Boehm flute. It was developed, in collaboration with Couesnon, c.1932 by Marcel Moyse who favoured plated rather than solid silver flutes. |
